Greyparrot’s founders realised that if they could create a way for emerging markets, where much of our recycling ends up, to easily analyse what the waste consists of and sort it into materials that can be recycled or identify hazardous and dangerous items and what they are composed of, then this waste can be processed far more effectively.
Greyparrot is an AI waste recognition startup which visually analyses waste into over 40 categories. The waste recognition system can be retrofitted onto the conveyor belts of waste facilities and improves the efficiency of the process and significantly increases recycling rates.
