A startup that refused to blend in
Flamingo AI is an Australian startup whose idea was to improve customer experience for leading financial service companies through AI and machine learning.
The startup moved from Sydney to the USA so that they would be surrounded by their target market of insurance and financial technology companies. They created a conversational AI engine that aggregates a company’s internal knowledge bases so that it can answer a huge range of questions across multiple products in a very natural way.
Flamingo was set up in 2016 and listed in 2017 despite no significant revenue or profit figures. Earlier this year it lost over 97% of its stock value.
And why the name Flamingo - they had many reasons but the one we like is: a refusal to blend in!
