My Sunday Rest (@mysundayrest) is a sleep-focussed startup that offers internationally certified mattresses and pillows through its website and stores in 6 large cities in India.
Founder Alphonse Reddy, a graduate of INSEAD, founded his startup to build mattresses that help you sleep every day as if it were a Sunday.
The startup has a huge amount of data on how people choose their mattresses and they used this to create their products. “It is not easy to choose a mattress. Medium firm mattresses are the best to maintain the natural curve of the spine. But elderly people prefer harder mattresses. Youngsters are more open to experimenting,” Alphonse says.
Their solution was to design a comfortable, affordable and health-friendly mattress which are now built in fully automated factories in Belgium.
The overall market net worth for mattresses in India is $3billion. The startup became profitable in under a year with 10-15% monthly revenue growth per year. They offer a 100% refund policy within 100 days. Returns are less than 5%
